Who this transfer is for

A private transfer from Prague Main Train Station is useful when you arrive with several bags, travel with children or mobility needs, reach Prague late, or simply want one confirmed meeting point and a direct ride to your accommodation. It can also help a group avoid splitting between taxis or navigating a new city with luggage.

The service is a station-to-address transfer, not a rail ticket, porter service or promise to meet on a platform. You still leave the train, collect everything you brought, follow signs into the station and walk to the confirmed meeting point. If stairs, walking distance or handling luggage may be difficult, describe that before booking so the practical plan can be checked.

Public transport can be a good alternative for travellers with light luggage and a flexible arrival. Prague City Tourism confirms that the station connects directly with metro line C and nearby trams. Compare the complete door-to-door journey, not just the first leg from the station.

Select Praha hlavní nádraží — not just ‘Prague station’

Select Praha hlavní nádraží — not just ‘Prague station’

Prague has more than one railway station. For this pickup, use Prague Main Train Station, written in Czech as Praha hlavní nádraží. The official city listing gives the address as Wilsonova 8, Praha 2, while Europe Pickup's calculator uses the searchable pickup label ‘Prague Main Train Station, Wilsonova, Prague’. Both identify the main station; a generic ‘Prague’ pin does not.

Do not choose Praha-Holešovice, Praha-Libeň or another station because it looks nearby on a map. Check the final arrival station on the rail operator's itinerary, especially when engineering work or a changed service alters the terminus. If the train will finish somewhere else, enter that real station and ask for a revised meeting arrangement.

The official České dráhy station page includes an orientation plan and current station services. Prague City Tourism describes an underground check-in hall with shops, food outlets, ticket offices and waiting areas. That is why a named indoor landmark is more reliable than asking two people to find each other somewhere outside the building.

Europe Pickup meeting point: Burger King inside the main concourse

After leaving the platform, follow signs into the main station concourse. The Europe Pickup meeting point is inside the main concourse, in front of Burger King. The photograph at the top of this guide shows the agreed landmark. Unless your booking confirmation explicitly gives a different instruction, stay there rather than walking outside to look for a vehicle.

Keep your phone available and make sure the booking has a reachable number with the correct country code. If you cannot find the landmark, call or message Europe Pickup on +420 601 019 248 and describe what you can see. Do not send card details, passport images or sensitive rail-account credentials in a chat.

The meeting point separates passenger pickup from vehicle access. A driver may need to reach the car after meeting you, and traffic rules can affect where the vehicle can stop. Do not interpret ‘meet inside’ as a promise that a car is parked beside the concourse door.

Send the train number, arrival date and scheduled time

Provide the train number exactly as shown on your current ticket or operator itinerary, together with the date and scheduled arrival time at Praha hlavní nádraží. A route such as Vienna to Prague or Berlin to Prague is not specific enough when several services arrive from the same direction. The train number helps distinguish the correct service.

The pickup time in the transfer booking is the time you are asking the driver to meet you. It is not automatically identical to the timetable arrival. Allow for leaving the carriage, walking from the platform, using a lift when needed and reaching the concourse with luggage. Choose one clear pickup time and review it before payment.

Use the official rail operator or timetable for live railway information. České dráhy provides a connection search and the Můj vlak app from its official pages. Europe Pickup can use the train details you send to coordinate the transfer, but this guide does not promise automatic monitoring of every operator or an automatic change to your confirmed pickup time.

If the train is delayed or the arrival station changes

As soon as you know about a material delay, missed connection or different arrival station, contact Europe Pickup and include the booking reference, train number and updated arrival information. Wait for confirmation of the revised pickup. A message being sent does not by itself confirm that a vehicle and new time have been rearranged.

Keep the confirmed pickup time separate from the train's estimated arrival. The booking review shows the current waiting terms for non-airport pickups; additional waiting or a major time change may need a new agreement. This guide does not replace the terms shown before payment or in your confirmation.

If the train is cancelled and you take a replacement service, send the replacement train number and its actual destination. If you decide to get off at a different Prague station, do not travel to the original meeting point and assume the driver will know. Confirm which address now applies.

Use the exact hotel or apartment address

The calculator link starts with the station and Prague as a general destination so you can open the correct direction quickly. Replace ‘Prague, Czechia’ with the full hotel, apartment or residence address before relying on the quote. A hotel name alone may be ambiguous, and some brands have more than one property.

Add the street number, building or reception entrance and any access note that affects pickup or drop-off. If the accommodation is in a pedestrian zone, ask where a vehicle can legally stop. Do not use Old Town Square or another central landmark as a substitute for the accommodation unless that is the actual confirmed meeting point.

For a private apartment, make sure someone can access the building at the expected arrival time. Europe Pickup provides the transfer; it does not guarantee that a host, reception desk or key service will be available.

Choose the vehicle by people and luggage together

Enter the real number of passengers, large suitcases, hand-luggage pieces and strollers. A vehicle that has enough seats can still be unsuitable for the luggage. Count bulky or unusual items separately in the notes and ask before payment when their folded dimensions matter.

The current booking flow presents a sedan for one to three passengers and a minivan for one to eight. Larger groups may require more than one vehicle. These passenger ranges are not a promise that every possible combination of suitcases, prams, wheelchairs, skis or musical instruments will fit.

Families should add the correct child-seat request and include a stroller in the luggage count. A wheelchair or mobility aid must be described; do not assume a standard sedan or minivan is wheelchair-accessible. The safest choice is the vehicle arrangement that supports both the people and everything travelling with them.

Hotel to the station: plan the reverse trip separately

For the return journey, use the opposite-direction link on this page. Enter the exact Prague pickup address and keep Prague Main Train Station as the destination. It opens a new one-way calculation; it does not silently add a round trip to the arrival booking.

Choose a hotel pickup time by working backwards from the train's boarding and departure requirements. Include road traffic, unloading, finding the correct departure board or platform and any help your group needs inside the station. A map's estimated driving time is not a guaranteed connection.

Check the train operator's current guidance and ticket conditions for your service. The driver brings you to the agreed station access point; the transfer does not include railway check-in, platform escort or responsibility for a missed train unless a separate service is explicitly confirmed.

Arriving by train and continuing to Prague Airport

If your real destination is Václav Havel Airport Prague, select the airport explicitly instead of a Prague city address. Add the flight number and terminal information and leave a realistic margin for road traffic, airport check-in and security. A station-to-airport transfer cannot guarantee an airline connection.

The station also has an Airport Express bus stop in front of the building, according to České dráhy and Prague City Tourism. Compare that public option when it suits your group. If you book a private transfer, follow the meeting instruction in the transfer confirmation rather than assuming the bus stop is the driver meeting point.

How to calculate the current price

Open Calculate this trip, replace the general Prague destination with the exact address, and enter the date, pickup time, passengers and luggage. Select a suitable vehicle and review the route, total and payment method on the final screen before continuing to secure payment.

This guide does not publish a fixed station-to-hotel fare because the destination, vehicle arrangement and selected extras can change the calculation. The live calculator is the price reference for the details you enter. A later change of station, address, time, luggage or vehicle can require a new quote.

Do not create a duplicate booking if you only need to correct a detail. Contact Europe Pickup with the existing reference and wait for the change to be confirmed.

What should I do after stepping off the train?

Take all luggage, follow station signs into the main concourse and go to Burger King. Keep your reachable phone on and stay at the meeting point unless Europe Pickup confirms a different instruction.

Will the driver wait on the platform with a sign?

Do not assume so. The standard confirmed meeting point is inside the main concourse in front of Burger King. Platform access and the arrival platform can change; follow the booking confirmation.

Can I book without a train number?

You can begin a calculation, but the train number and scheduled arrival are important coordination details. Add them before the trip and confirm any replacement service or changed station.

Which official address should I use?

The official city listing is Wilsonova 8, Praha 2. In Europe Pickup's calculator, choose ‘Prague Main Train Station, Wilsonova, Prague’ so the booking clearly identifies Praha hlavní nádraží.
