The four details that prevent most pickup problems
- Your flight number, not only the scheduled arrival time. It lets the dispatcher identify delays and the correct terminal.
- The complete hotel or apartment address. Similar hotel names can exist in different parts of Prague.
- The total number of passengers, including children. Request child seats when you book.
- Real luggage volume. Large suitcases, prams, skis and folding wheelchairs can change the vehicle you need.
When should the pickup time be?
For an airport arrival, use the flight arrival rather than guessing how long baggage reclaim will take. Europe Pickup monitors the flight and includes 60 minutes of airport waiting. If you expect an unusual delay after landing, message the dispatcher as soon as possible.
For a departure from your hotel, allow time for traffic, check-in and security. Your airline's guidance should decide the airport arrival target; the transfer form should contain the hotel pickup time needed to reach that target.
Private transfer, taxi or public transport?
Public transport can suit a light traveller who is comfortable changing between bus, trolleybus or rail and metro. A street or app taxi can work for a simple trip when the vehicle and final fare are clear. A pre-booked private transfer is most useful when you want a confirmed vehicle, help coordinating an arrival, child seats, more luggage space or one booking for a group.
Compare the whole trip, not just the first displayed number: vehicle size, waiting terms, night pricing, payment conditions and the exact drop-off address all matter.
Meeting your driver
Keep the phone number used for the booking reachable after landing. If the arrivals hall is crowded, the booking confirmation and dispatcher message are the reliable reference points. Never accept a different vehicle simply because someone in the terminal knows your destination.
