Confirm the ship location before booking the final leg
Ask your cruise operator for the embarkation address, boarding window and on-the-day contact. Use the instructions for your own sailing. River conditions and operational arrangements can change where a vessel boards, so do not copy the berth from a previous trip.
Give Europe Pickup the ship name as well as the street address or meeting coordinates. If the operator supplies an updated location, send it promptly and have the revised route confirmed. The driver cannot determine a private sailing’s current berth from the city name alone.
Leave room between road arrival and boarding
Plan to reach the confirmed meeting point before the end of the boarding window, with time to unload and walk to the ship. Share the latest acceptable arrival with the transport provider. Road travel time is an estimate, not a guarantee of boarding.
If your journey begins at Prague Airport, include the actual airport pickup and flight details. Landing, collecting luggage and meeting the driver happen at different times. A city-centre Prague quote should not be reused as an airport quote.
Size the vehicle for cruise luggage
Cruise guests often travel with both full-size cases and cabin bags. Enter each category separately instead of counting only the largest cases. A sedan accepts up to three passengers and a minivan up to eight, with luggage limits checked separately.
Mention a folded stroller, mobility aid or unusually bulky equipment before confirming. A seat count does not prove the equipment will fit. If walking from the legal drop-off point would be difficult, confirm that part of the meeting plan with the operator too.
Returning from the ship to Prague
Choose the time the party will actually be ready to leave the vessel, rather than assuming the scheduled arrival time is the pickup time. Agree an accessible roadside meeting point and keep a working contact number available.
For a flight out of Prague, work backwards from the airline’s airport-arrival guidance. Include the drive, unloading and a buffer. If the cruise operator changes the disembarkation city, request a new transfer arrangement rather than expecting the original Regensburg booking to cover it automatically.
A hotel stay needs a different endpoint
If you will stay in Regensburg before or after the sailing, book the hotel address for that journey. A separate hotel-to-ship movement is not automatically included in a Prague transfer. Ask the property about luggage storage if your room will not be ready.
Review any stop, planned waiting, child seat and return option in the final quote. Admission, cruise services and local guiding are separate unless expressly included in a confirmed arrangement.
